This event is brought to you by Edgewater Rotary

Just like the pirates, we here in Edgewater have a special connection to the sea. We hope to bring awareness to the environmental challenges being faced in our local rivers and lagoons. We will have an oyster station with fresh oysters for sale. We will also be demonstrating how the oyster shells are prepared to be placed back into the water. The oyster shells attract microscopic oysters, which then grow to create new oyster beds. Each oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day, helping to improve the quality of the Indian River Lagoon and supporting the surrounding ecosystem.
Being close to the holidays Rotary is also helping out Booty for Babies, a toy collection for the underserved young kids that could use a ray of sunshine in their life.

Edgewater Rotary has a long history of hosting events in the community that bring joy to thousands and benefit the community with scholarships and community service projects
